Yorkshire Care Equipment is holding its annual YORTRAIN GOLD conference on 3 October at the Pavilions of Harrogate. The event is for healthcare professionals across the North of England, and will include training, networking, and speeches on all aspects of care and mobility.
Now in its fifth successive year, YORTRAIN GOLD is thought to be the biggest privately-run conference for healthcare professionals in the north. The event has steadily grown from just 50 attendees in its first year, to an expected 300 delegates at this year’s event.
Tristan Hulbert, the event coordinator said:
“This will be our fifth year of hosting our YORTRAIN GOLD annual conference and training event, and it gets bigger and more popular every year! We have 350 available seats this year, and over a third of them were snapped up in just a week and a half of opening the booking system.
“Whilst the event obviously takes a lot of time and effort to organise, and we pay for all aspects of the speaker costs, catering and venue ourselves, we see it as a way of giving back to the therapists and other healthcare professionals we work alongside every day. It also gives both ourselves and the attendees great insight into the latest concepts in the marketplace, enables us to share ideas, and it’s a superb networking opportunity.”
The agenda for the day includes speeches from renowned lecturers on all things occupational therapy and physiotherapy, along with a talk from Baroness Masham of Ilton who has championed progress in disability and health reform as well as representing Great Britain in several Paralympic Games.
With other major occupational therapy conferences taking place in Birmingham and the south of the country, YORTRAIN GOLD is an opportunity for Northern-based healthcare professionals to further their knowledge without having to travel too far.
