Moving and handling experts Care & Independence have launched a market research survey to investigate a variety of topics within the healthcare moving and handling market, and they are looking for the input of occupational therapists.

The ‘Safe Patient Moving & Handling Market Insight’ survey will cover aspects from product knowledge and the moving and handling market at large to training, events, marketing and media, whilst also giving participants the opportunity to share their own insights and input.

According to sales and marketing director, James Bennett, the insight to be gained from such a comprehensive piece of research will be invaluable. He says: “As a company we have always prided ourselves on being able to improve the lives of thousands of less-abled users and their care providers. We are constantly striving to improve upon and enhance the offering we provide and the best way to do this is to really understand the lives, needs and wants of all those we provide a service to and products for. By hearing direct from occupational therapists and other healthcare providers about their personal experiences and opinions, we can be confident in implementing improvements and investing in the areas most important to our customers.”

Market research surveys can be notoriously difficult in eliciting sufficient participants to gain certain validity to the subsequent results. To combat this, Care & Independence are promoting their survey through various media channels to reach as wide an audience of relevant people as possible.  Furthermore, would-be participants are incentivised to partake in the survey with the offer of a complimentary powerbank charger to the first 50 participants – which is sure to be a welcome gift for those always on the go. Additionally, two lucky winners of the free prize draw open to all participants, will be the recipients of an Apple Series 6 watch or any sling from the Care & Independence glovetm range up to a value of £300.

The survey will be live until 15 July so healthcare professionals are encouraged not to delay in joining. The ‘Safe Patient Moving & Handling Market Insight’ survey can be accessed from the Contact Us page of or via the company’s LinkedIn page.
