Occupational Therapist, Forensic Setting – Southwark, London Area – £28,633 Plus Excellent Benefits and Progression
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join the friendly team over 2 Forensic Services in South East London (Peckham). One is a 12 bed High Support Unit and one is a 9 bed Step Down Low Support Service. You will work across the two services and offer support alongside the team, to service users with complex mental health conditions.
This client is a leading Health and Social Care provider with a presence across the country. They focus on the welfare of Adults with Learning Disability and Mental Health with some specialist services such as Forensic. They focus on providing quality care at all times in a variation of settings including residential, supported living and outreach. They also operate in a not-for-profit bases and invest their funds back into the services to ensure clients and staff are the focus of all decisions made.
You will work closely with the dual diagnosis, recovery workers and the clinical team to develop and strengthen the therapeutic interventions and activities offered across the services. You will use your skills and experience to apply evidence-based models of occupational therapy that focuses on restoring functional ability and living skills. You will also endorse social inclusion and provide links to local community facilities.
This is a Monday to Friday role, however some flexibility on the hours are expected to allow you to facilitate occasional focus groups.
