ILS is Scotland’s largest disability lifestyle and independent living event with FREE entry and FREE parking. The umbrella theme for 2018 is, “Innovations in health and social care in Scotland: across the generations.” The show has over 100 exhibitors and a wealth of products and services for families, carers, public and healthcare professionals.
In the Healthcare Professionals Theatre, the two-day line-up will feature an impressive 14 speakers sharing the latest issues and challenges facing occupational therapists and physiotherapists across the field.
The programme is CPD accredited and the focus for each day is:

- Thu 27 Sep: “Person-centred care, technology-enabled care and digital healthcare”

New for 2018
Making its first visit to Glasgow, OTAC is the only free adaptation and equipment-based conference for occupational therapists in the UK. There are daily seminars and an exhibition area featuring Invacare, 24-7 Healthcare, Gordon Ellis, Evolution Healthcare, Geberit, Triton Showers and Closomat.
Sport, Wellness & Leisure Arena
Over two days international wheelchair curlers will give demos at The Curling Experience and various other activities will be demonstrated including basketball, table tennis, wheelchair and visually impaired football, boccia and weightlifting courtesy of Glasgow Eagles.

- Autism Awareness Zone
Home to the Autism Reality Experience, this zone features innovative, hands-on training to give people an experience of the sensory processing difficulties faced by people on the autism spectrum and provide new skills and techniques.
- Adapted and Special Purpose Vehicles
Scotland leading dealers are showcasing the latest, most popular adapted vehicles, wheelchair accessible vehicles and minibus conversions to allow visitors to compare the best on the market. Each dealer is supported by Motability, the national registered charity responsible for directing and overseeing the Motability Scheme. Dealers include Allied Mobility, The Automotive Group, PL Mobility, Macklin Motors and the Adaptation Installation Company.
- Inspiration Theatre
Guide Dogs Scotland, C Change, Glasgow Disability Alliance, RNIB and IndepenDance will be making presentations in the theatre
