The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF), a national charity specialising in advice, information and training on equipment for independent living, are delighted to announce their key sponsors for Moving & Handling People North.

Moving & Handling People is a two-day event designed for and by healthcare practitioners to stay ahead of the curve on some of the hottest topics in this specialised area.

Taking place on 27 and 28 September at Newcastle Racecourse, the two intensive days of CPD accredited training uses a combination of keynote talks, plenaries, seminars and hands-on practical workshops to demonstrate the latest thinking and equipment available for healthcare professionals in this field. Running in conjunction with the Disability North Exhibition, attendees will also have access to the wealth of exhibitors in attendance.

Janet Seward, Partnerships Managers at DLF, commented: “Without the support of companies that provide equipment for moving and handling people, the event would not be possible. And as such we are thankful for Joerns Healthcare and Yorkshire Care Equipment’s support in bringing this renowned event to the northern regions of the UK.”

Moving & Handling People, the widely popular training and exhibition event for healthcare professionals, has run in the southern regions of the UK for more than 20 years. This will be the second event in Newcastle and marks the organisation’s goal of making this level of training accessible throughout the UK.
