A leading care provider celebrates second chance of a receiving a national sector award.

Outlook Care narrowly missed out at the 2016 Great London Care Awards, but as a result of coming second place has been selected to go through to the 2017 National Finals.

Not-for-profit health and social care provider, Outlook Care, delivers person centred care and supports people with a learning disability, those with mental health needs and older people in Essex and London.

The Great British Care Awards promotes best practice within both home care and care homes sectors, and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Outlook Care’s Royal Greenwich Short Breaks service, in Greenwich, will be representing the region for The Care Team in the Home Care Sector award. The service offers individual short breaks for people with learning disabilities, as well as support services in the home and community.

Two members of staff from Royal Greenwich Short Breaks attended a judging day on Wednesday 22 February in Birmingham.

Outlook Care will attend the National Finals on Friday 31 March 2017 at The ICC in Birmingham, which will be presented by well-known actor, Martin Kemp.

Speaking of being invited to the finals, Outlook Care’s regional manager, Caroline Bailey, said:

“Whilst our entry did not result in an outright win last year, it was a fantastic achievement to come second place, and we’re delighted to have been invited to the National Finals. We’re extremely proud of the hard work, professionalism and dedication of our staff, and it is fantastic they have received such recognition.”
