MedEquip4Kids improves the health of children and babies in the UK by providing equipment not available from limited NHS resources. They believe every child should have access to the best medical care when they need it most.
MedEquip4Kids are looking for participants to help support their many projects by taking up the challenge to cycle from London to Paris in four days, culminating in witnessing the finale of the iconic Tour de France on Sunday 24th July 2016 – a fitting end to your amazing journey!
Starting in London, the 420 kilometre route will take you through glorious English countryside, to the ferry from Dover to Calais. Once across the channel, you will push on cycling along quiet French country lanes, through traditional market towns with views of the rolling green hills of northern France. The tarmac in France is superb, making for a fantastic charity bike ride, and as cycling is the nation’s favourite sport, don’t be surprised when the locals cheer you on your way.
The event caters for all levels of ability, and as long as you are willing to train, this charity bike ride will be perfect for you. Luggage, water and food are all taken care of, leaving you to focus on your goal of reaching Paris and the spectacular view of the 324 metre Eiffel Tower at the finishing line.
Following four exhilarating days in the saddle, Sunday 24th July will be a day to relax and explore this famous capital city and have the chance to witness some of the world’s elite cyclists as they sweep to the finishing line in the Finale of the Tour de France, before you catch the Eurostar back to London.
After paying the special early bird registration fee of £99, we ask that you raise a minimum of £1,480 to take part in this popular charity event.
