adult helping senior in hospitalThe BBC reports that Older People’s Commissioner for Wales, Sarah Rochira, was disappointed in the explanations from care inspectors and ministers on how they will improve the level of care for elderly people in Wales following a 2014 review.

The review was compiled from unannounced visits to 100 care homes and more than 2000 surveys completed by care home residents and their families. They overall outcome was not satisfactory and ‘strong action’ has been recommended.
