The biggest ever Kit4Kidz2Adultz Exhibition is going to take place on 5 October 2016 in Leeds showcasing new and innovative assistive technology, providing information and advice to enable children and adults with a disability or additional needs to lead more independent lives. Organised annually by The William Merritt Centre for over 20 years, this year sees the biggest event with kit to try out for adults as well as for children.
The event will be held at Centenary Pavilion, Leeds United Football Club, Elland Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire and is free to attend.
Professionals, end users and their families and carers are invited to attend the event which will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm. As well as companies demonstrating a range of assistive technology including beds, seating, walking aids, bathing aids, tricycles, scooters, wheelchairs, and car adaptations, a number of charities will be attending to offer support, advice and information. This is a great opportunity for you to meet companies and try products which can enhance your everyday life and promote your independence.
Senior Occupational Therapist Annette Abbott announced:
“Each year visitors ask us to arrange for more companies to come so they know about the latest products available so this year we have included kit for adults as well. We have had a great response from companies wanting to come and meet professionals who recommend products and end users and their families as not only do they get to meet their customers but get their valuable feedback too. As a result of so many companies being interested, this will be the biggest event of it’s type in Yorkshire.”
