Motor neurone disease diagnosis costs patients £12,000 a year

Older people with Type 2 diabetes are being ‘over prescribed’

Older people with Type 2 diabetes are being over treated with certain drugs, according to a recent service evaluation carried out in Leicester. The findings come as a NHS Digital report recently showed 52 million diabetes prescriptions were issued last year, which is an 81 per cent increase over the past decade.
